Distinguished Intern of the Year
Hannah Christen is a senior who is double majoring in Political Science and Global Studies with a concentration in Global Governance and Conflict. She has completed six individual internships earning a wealth of experience and six academic credit hours. This semester she is interning in the office of Jamie Raskin, the United States Congressman from Maryland’s 8th District. Prior to this, she has had internships of progressive importance including working for Andrew Duck for Congress, in the office of California Congressman Jared Huffman, with the Frederick County Commission For Women, UNESCO Center for Peace, and the League of Women Voters of Frederick County. She has served two times as Class President, was a co-founder and president of the Hood College Democrats, and has been an active participant in Model UN. Most recently, she represented the college as the moderator of the 2018 Maryland Gubernatorial Forum held on our campus.
